Just tried the Iced Vanilla Banana Cafe Latte off their Banana Series (New for January!). I ordered it with brown sugar boba and got it 80% sweet. The first sip, not mixed, was strange. When mixed, the flavors are all quite subtle. Tastes a bit like there was salt added. The cream at the top is difficult to mix into the drink using the straw so I recommend to shake it before stabbing the straw through. The banana flavor is fresh but quite light, not artificial at all. I don't think I'd get this one again, but overall it wasn't bad. 4.5/5. My uncle got 50% Sweetened Strawberry Tornado with boba and really enjoyed it. He got it for free because I believe he had 100pts, so that was cool. I believe it is a card only place (doesn't accept cash), but I could be wrong. There was a bit of a line but it moved quickly. The menu might be hard for some people to read since it's posted on a mirror. Although I believe they have a QR code where the menu is listed too.
Home of the Best Matcha Drink I've Ever Tasted I'm thrilled to see the famous boba milk tea franchise, Omomo, expanding from Irvine to the San Diego area. Their new Del Mar location, conveniently located near the I-5 freeway, brings the same signature taste and sleek, modern decor that fans know and love. The special menu mirror and distinctive logo design add a fun and unique aesthetic touch to the space. Must-Try Drinks Omomo Matcha: Without a doubt, the star of the show. This is easily the best matcha drink I have ever tasted--perfectly balanced, rich, and satisfying. It's a drink that keeps you coming back for more. Taro and Mochi Drinks: The new taro and mochi offerings are absolutely fantastic. Packed with chewy mochi, these drinks feel more like a dessert and are perfect for an indulgent afternoon tea. Summer Specials: The Pineapple Milk Tea is a refreshing blend of tropical pineapple flavor and creamy milk tea, while the Itchy Peach is another summer favorite that's light, fruity, and a must-try. White Peach Oolong with Cheese Foam: A great option for those who love oolong tea. The white peach adds a fruity twist, while the cheese foam elevates the flavor with its creamy, savory note. The Experience Omomo's consistent quality across locations is impressive, but expect to wait, especially during peak times. Even on a Tuesday at 2 PM, you might encounter a waiting lane. That said, the experience is absolutely worth it--Omomo drinks are an unmatched treat for tea and boba lovers alike. Final Thoughts Omomo continues to deliver its signature high-quality drinks and creative flavors with this new Del Mar location. Whether you're a matcha enthusiast, a boba lover, or just looking for a refreshing new tea, Omomo has something for everyone. Be patient with the lines--they're a small price to pay for what might be the best boba drinks in town!
Fav drinks: Avocado smash with B&W Boba Mango Tornado Love me some Omomo! Been coming to this tea shoppe since week 1 that they opened their doors. I've had it probably over 30 times and I only had one experience where the drink did not live up to the previous ones or the ones after. The lines have died down a lot since they first opened so it's more accessible now. The avocado smash and mango tornado are two of my go-to's are are caffeine free. The avocado drink, despite its name is delishishly sweet and creamy if you like that texture. It comes with strawberry bits at the bottom and when you add boba you just get the whole package. The lower you go on sweetness, the icier the drink is. The mango is also very tasty and flavorful. Both teas are very fresh and you can tell it's just made well. I have tried the matcha drink before but it was too strong so I stick to my usuals.
Came here with a couple of friends after going on a long hike. Ordered the uji matcha and the Cortado! Compared to other places, the matcha that this place serves is pretty strong. You could taste the deep matcha flavor in each drink and both drinks were very flavorful as well. Indoor interior made the place very welcoming and service was great too! Definitely will come back again in the future!
There are always lines out the wazoo of this place. They offer an assortment of fruit teas, milk teas and other beverages - including a banana specialty one. Service relatively prompt for long lines. Smaller interior but many just get orders to go.
LOVE Omomo in general, but maybe the B team was serving when I last went. Rarely does Omomo miss the mark however, I came toward the end of the day on Dec 26 and was pretty disappointed. Mango Tornado - these mangos weren't ripe, which made the entire drink taste off or watered down. Don't serve the Mango Tornado if it doesn't meet your quality standards. I'd personally take this off the menu if Omomo can't find ripe mangos, but also received a picture from another boba shop who just got a fresh shipment of ripe mangos earlier that day - they do exist in December. My drink also had a bunch of mango chunks at the bottom, which is how I discovered unripe mangos were used vs the drink being watered down. I'm guessing the team was running out of steam at the end of the day because there wasn't much tornado in the Mango Tornado. Camo Thai - Again, maybe this was the B team, but this drink tasted watered down as well. Did they run out of tea? Itchy Peachy - I've also gotten this drink during the summer at this location and it was pretty great. There could definitely be more tornado throughout the cup though. S E R V I C E The line isn't 45 minutes like the Irvine location, so that's a win. However, it does feel like the B team is serving here.
This is by far the BEST boba i've had in SD, and maybe anywhere! I came in the middle of the day on a Thursday and there was a line (for good reason!) although I got my drinks within 3-4 minutes. I opted for the Uji green milk tea with boba & the mango tornado 80% sweet on both (shoutout the kind lady in front of me that recommended the mango drink!). I was seriously blown away by both drinks. The matcha flavor + sweetness was PERFECT and the boba was perfectly cooked. The mango tornado was so delicious, fresh, and creamy. I love that they have the fruit cups ready to go in the fridge which shows how fresh everything is. The shop itself was small but adorable and super clean. Wish I could give 6 stars!
Love a good boba shop! Glad they opened a Omomo in San Diego!! :) Had been to the Irvine location, and this one is just as popular. Fortunately, the line moves quick. Got the green milk tea -- yum!
Went there with friends after lunch. Did not know what to expect. All I knew was that it seemed like a popular place with so many people waiting in line and it was on a Friday afternoon. I was surprised to see so many people there on a weekday like that. I asked the girl at the cashier for her recommendation, what's the most popular order? And she recommended omomo matcha. Typically I don't like very thick drinks, but this one was good. I got 30% sweet although she recommended 50%. It was definitely enough for me. The matcha was good and the custard thingy or cream inside really made it special. A total indulgence for me since I typically don't waste my calories on drinks. Ha ha. Definitely worth it. The drink was about seven dollars. Not the cheapest but I think it's worth it.
Good things are worth the wait. Patiently waiting for food boba everytime I visit. The staff are hard working and welcoming. The place is clean and organized. Drinks are made fresh but it takes a while because they add their foil seal before fulfilling orders. I'll be back soon.
